One of the most important aspects of freedom is the exercising there of. Even if you absolutely hate the opinion they have every right to express it. To limit thier expression is to be a hyprocrite.

I do find it very disturbing that the Left actually root against America and some of the most extreme will celibrate the death of American troops, people like lumberjacks killed hitting a spiked tree or a smoker dieing of a smoking related disease. The level of fanticism and the dehumanization that is taking place in the Left is very disturbing.

As for hating our leaders, I hate them too. I am not left or right and deffinitely not a moderate or centralist.

You do have one valid point on this though. America does not demand much. Speak English, have a work ethic and most importantly believe in America. A person can hate the flag, hate the leaders, hate the people, even hate the troops. But they cannot hate the nation. That is self loathing as they are American too. Once it gets to a point they should emigrate. In the case of the Left Europe and Australia will better match thier ideals. The right has nowhere to go technically or it would have left long ago. Today there are alot of people ready to chuck both the left and the right in the sea with a big sign that says start swimming and don't come back.

I love what America stands for. America was founded by Liberals, and I believe our greatest successes have come when Liberals were leading. All the things I love about America -- like the belief that all men are created equal; that everyone should participate in their own government; that the government reports to the people and not vice-versa; that we are all allowed to speak our minds and hold our own beliefs without interference from our government; that we do better when we work together to help the elderly, the disabled, and the unfortunate; that local problems should be handled locally and only national problems should be handled nationally -- these are all Liberal concepts.

I get pretty p***ed at my fellow Americans when they start getting selfish, hateful, arrogant, and run amok in foreign countries killing innocent people. Since our current "leaders" are representing us and our ideals so poorly to the rest of the world, I'm not very happy with them right now. But I'd get mad at anybody who behaves like that, so I don't think that has to do with being an American.

Those filthy hippies don't even deserve to breathe the same air as we do. I wish someone would just break open a can of zyclon B and give these people a long cold shower. Afterwards we can stack the bodies of liberals as as high as we can raise the flag. If you arent a good Christian, if you dont support our president, if you don't support our troops, if you dont love the American flag, get the **** out of this country or die. The foundations of this country were built on the prayers and harships of good civilized white Christians people. If you aren't a conservative go **** yourself with an atom bomb.

Disagreeing with Karl Rove's talking points doesn't make someone a "Lib", and it doesn't make someone hate America. Very few people in America hate America. If President Bush's approval ratings are consistently below 40% I guess that means in your eyes that the majority of Americans hate America. You need to turn off the Sean Hannity once in a while and find out the news for yourself.

I, Lib, love America.
I love our country, our troops, and enjoy some of our leaders.
I did a small speech on the flag in 2nd grade and cried because I felt my patriotism surging thru my veins even then. (Thanks, Dad, Vientnam Vet)
I love the people I know and can show compassion to the ones I do not know.
I consider myself American.

Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both. Ben Franklin

A patriot must be ready to defend his country against his government. Edward Abbey

Sure they are Americans. I wouldn't stereotype them, but there is something seriously wrong with a lot of them. Many are what you say they are. They are politicizing this conflict we are in, because the do not want to give any credit to GWB. If Kerry were the president (who voted fro the war) the libs would surely be whistling a different tune.

I'm a liberal. I support my country, our troops, our flag, and our people.

I love our president, the jovial little chuckle-head, but I despise his lies, arrogance, selfish pursuit of wealth for himself and his cronies, and his callous disregard for the lives not only of our troops, but of the Iraqis he has killed in this immoral, unwarranted, expensive, and irresolvable war.

And I will love it this fall, when corrupt, self-serving Republicans across the country are tossed out of office and replaced with real patriots and leaders who genuinely represent American values, including compassion, justice, and freedom.

As your wages go down, your health care costs go up, our soldiers are killed senselessly, and your individual rights are taken away one piece at a time, remember that there are people taking a stand to protect you in this time of trouble, despite your ignorant, ugly, and closed-minded stance.

Have a great summer, see you this fall.

You are asking a very tricky question.

If America is to stand for what America stands for, then the answer would be Yes, they are. They are allowed their opinions and voice of those opinions.

You are generalizing them and making assumptions, thinking differently than you or me, does not make them unAmerican
