nope - it is my right to smoke where i want to and do with my body what I want to. Smoking is actually good for you in moderation. There is no link between smoke and causing cancer. We are born and predisposed in our genes with all these diseases. If they are going to happen then they will. Some have smoked all their lives and still have decent lungs and not a trace of cancer. I have worked for 30yrs in an industry where i smoked and was subjected to second hand all the time. As of today my lungs are just fine with no traces. But this is due to my other lifestyle of eating healthy and all things in moderation.

People need to stop sticking their noses into others lives.

Get used to it, addict.

Smokers are in the minority and getting fewer everyday as people either wise-up and quit or die. Only the dumbest kids these days are taking up the habit, not the 'cool' ones.

The toxic fumes that fill up the air space where ever smokers light up are an infringement on the rights of others to breathe air that is not poisonous.

Don't give me the line about "smokers have rights too". That is preposterous. Smoking cigarettes does not confer additional rights on anyone. Smokers have the same rights non-smokers have, the right to not have anyone pollute their air with toxic fumes.

BTW: smoking in a home where children are present is child abuse.

Yes. And, being from California, I suggest you smoke in a small, airtight space, away from any living thing.

By the way, I'm a smoker, I just decided not to smoke anywhere it poses an inconvenience or health threat to others. As a result, I haven't actually smoked anything in 4 years.

No. I don't believe government needs to be playing the role of overprotective parents. However, those wacky California rules are already spreading.

No, I wont, but the rest of America, the non-smoking haters, who jump upon their soapboxes and whine, will.
