C'mon, you and I both know that if you asked a hundred randomly selected people, you'd get a hundred different answers. Someone with a very high value on sports might pick a famous athlete. Another person who highly values altruism might say Mother Teresa. A scientist might say Galileo, or Newton, or Einstein, or Hawkings.

If you look at the broad spectrum of human accomplishment over the last couple of thousand years, it would be impossible to single out one person as being "best," whatever that means.

I like Benjamin Franklin greatly, but, of course, the real answer is

JESUS CHRIST.
HE IS UNMATCHABLE - SINLESS!!
HOW CAN YOU COMPARE WITH ANY OTHER?

But excluding Him, we have great prophets and persons of history, who are known for very wonderful and extraordinary talents.

Joseph Smith - religious leader of Mormons
Brigham Young - also led them across 1000s miles in mid-winter to desert - which eventually blossomed as a rose in the finish.
JS Bach - great composer and father of 20 children
Mozart - child genius
Leonardo Da Vinci - all around great genius
Adam - first man upon earth - head of human race
Eve - Mother of all living
Mary - Mother of the Son of God
LA Anderson - My grandfather - what a great man he was known as!
My mother - another great lady [only daughter of the above]
Socrates - sealed his testimony of right with his death, and could have escaped if he had wanted to
Moses
Job
Isaiah
Christopher Columbus
I mean ... the list is exhaustive!!!
