Lidstrom or why even rule out a guy like Draper or Holmstrom all three have been on the team for years and have exceptional leadership qualities but my vote is Lidstrom.

I either could see Kris Draper or Nicklas Lidstrom, but don't be surprised if Hank Zetterberg gets it or Pavel Datsyuk gets it, maybe even a Kirk Maltby

Lidstrom is the obvious choice, but I'd like to see somebody take over the team for the rest of their career like Yzerman did. Maybe Datsyuk or Zetterberg. (just so you know, Fedorov is with Columbus now)

I think Federov is actually in Columbus. Shanny is a Ranger. Lidstrom should be the next captain.

uhh Shanahan signed with New York buddy.
It's between Lidstrom and Chelios, and personally, I'd give the nod to Nick Lidstrom.

people don't really watch hockey lol. one guy says Shanny well hes gone to NYR, one says Federov but (yes i know hes with the Ducks) but what he doesn't know is that Federov was traded last year to Columbus. it will be Lidstrom and Chelios will be both co-captains and yes their is teams that have co-captains you can even look it up with the Sabres with co-captains all season was D. Briere and C. Drury.
