Here's the highlights reel for anyone still voting for the Democrats:

November 1979: Muslim extremists (Iranian variety) seized the U.S. embassy in Iran and held 52 American hostages for 444 days, following Democrat Jimmy Carter's masterful foreign policy granting Islamic fanaticism its first real foothold in the Middle East.

1982: Muslim extremists (mostly Hezbollah) began a nearly decade-long habit of taking Americans and Europeans hostage in Lebanon, killing William Buckley and holding Terry Anderson for 6 1/2 years.

April 1983: Muslim extremists (Islamic Jihad or possibly Hezbollah) bombed the U.S. Embassy in Beirut, killing 16 Americans.

October 1983: Muslim extremists (Hezbollah) blew up the U.S. Marine barracks at the Beirut airport, killing 241 Marines.

December 1983: Muslim extremists (al-Dawa) blew up the U.S. Embassy in Kuwait, killing five and injuring 80.

September 1984: Muslim extremists (Hezbollah) exploded a truck bomb at the U.S. Embassy annex in Beirut, killing 24 people, including two U.S. servicemen.

December 1984: Muslim extremists (probably Hezbollah) hijacked a Kuwait Airways airplane, landed in Iran and demanded the release of the 17 members of al-Dawa who had been arrested for the bombing of the U.S. Embassy in Kuwait, killing two Americans before the siege was over.

June 14, 1985: Muslim extremists (Hezbollah) hijacked TWA Flight 847 out of Athens, diverting it to Beirut, taking the passengers hostage in return for the release of the Kuwait 17 as well as another 700 prisoners held by Israel. When their demands were not met, the Muslims shot U.S. Navy diver Robert Dean Stethem and dumped his body on the tarmac.

October 1985: Muslim extremists (Palestine Liberation Front backed by Libya) seized an Italian cruise ship, the Achille Lauro, killing 69-year-old American Leon Klinghoffer by shooting him and then tossing his body overboard.

December 1985: Muslim extremists (backed by Libya) bombed airports in Rome and Vienna, killing 20 people, including five Americans.

April 1986: Muslim extremists (backed by Libya) bombed a discotheque frequented by U.S. servicemen in West Berlin, injuring hundreds and killing two, including a U.S. soldier.

December 1988: Muslim extremists (backed by Libya) bombed Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland, killing all 259 on board and 11 on the ground.
(Then came an amazing, historic pause in Muslim extremists' relentless war on America after Ronald Reagan won the Cold War by doing the opposite of everything recommended by Democrats, depriving Islamic terrorists of their Soviet sponsors. This confuses liberals because they don't understand the concept of terror sponsors, whether it's the Soviet Union or Iraq.)

February 1993: Muslim extremists (al-Gama'a al-Islamiyya, possibly with involvement of friendly rival al-Qaida) set off a bomb in the basement of the World Trade Center, killing six and wounding more than 1,000.

Spring 1993: Muslim extremists (al-Gama'a al-Islamiyya, the Sudanese Islamic Front and at least one member of Hamas) plot to blow up the Lincoln and Holland tunnels, the U.N. complex, and the FBI's lower Manhattan headquarters.

November 1995: Muslim extremists (possibly Iranian "Party of God") explode a car bomb at U.S. military headquarters in Saudi Arabia, killing five U.S. military servicemen.

June 1996: Muslim extremists (13 Saudis and a Lebanese member of Hezbollah, probably with involvement of al-Qaida) explode a truck bomb outside the Khobar Towers military complex, killing 19 American servicemen and injuring hundreds.

August 1998: Muslim extremists (al-Qaida) explode truck bombs at U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, killing 224 and injuring thousands.

October 2000: Muslim extremists (al-Qaida) blow up the U.S. Navy destroyer USS Cole, killing 17 U.S. sailors.

Sept. 11, 2001: Muslim extremists (al-Qaida) hijack commercial aircraft and fly planes into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and a field in Pennsylvania, killing nearly 3,000 Americans.

Can you BELIEVE some of the answers so far? Wow, so articulate: "Bla bla bla Bush did it neocon." Most original thing I've ever seen.
Anyway, Hello Kitty does have one part of the story, you have another part, but it's more extensive than that. And the reasons for it are different from what many Muslim extremists seem to think. The British meddling in the affairs of African countries and Arab nations was wrong, though they thought they had good reasons at the time.
Our meddling in the various governments throughout Africa (read the history of the Congo, for example) and throughout the Arab countries was presumptuous at best, and nefarious at worst. However, many people forget the political climate of the 50s, when we did our most meddling in Arab countries such as Iran and Iraq. Those countries were considered a gateway into Russia, which was greatly feared due to Communism.
In the 1950s, schoolchildren often had "bomb drills", where they were told to get under their desks (as if that would have protected them, no WONDER they became the hippies!) in case Russia dropped "the bomb." The Cold War was terrible on people. Most of us who were lucky enough to be very young when it ended don't realize what it was all about, or how awful it really was.
Russia was to that generation what terrorism is to many of us now.
BOTH sides are to blame for where we are now...but at least we never specifically targeted civilians, and at least others KNEW it was us. We never hid, even when it was our CIA who was involved with coups.
Anyway, I'm rambling, and I'm sorry. But you're right that many people deny these events, and insist that 9/11 was the first and only terrorist attack.
This has been building for centuries, and we're now beginning to see the fallout from all these ancient grudges.

Do a simple head count and figure out if more Americans have died or suffered from Muslim guns or explosives and then count the Muslims that died or suffered American guns.

You could also count how many Muslims are actively involved in crimes against America and the reversal of that one to either label Islam or America as organized crime.

You're simply playing with a sword that cuts on both edges. If for instance the profits for the global weapons industries wouldn't be so high, it would be easier to take those swords from them.

So do the math again and rephrase your question.

Put the details listed under your "question" on one side of a long piece of paper and HelloKitty's response on the other.

Now look at some of the live footage of bombed civilian territory in, say, Iraq or Lebanon. Assume you are getting your news only from such "mainstream media" as the al-Jazeera or the "rush limbaughs" of the al-Quaida.

Can any Muslim be so blind as to think they have not been under attack by Judeo-Christian imperialists for the past twenty or thirty or forty or fifty or eighty or ninety years?

Especially if they judge Judeo-Christians by the writings and rantings of right-wing fundamentalists, as so many folks in the US judge Islam by the radical jihadists?

Especially if they know the connections between the Bush "dynasty" and the Saudi dynasty for at least three generations, the tendency of both families to align themselves politically, though not necessarily morally and certainly not socially or economically, with the fundamentalists whom they use to control the masses for them?

Isn't it amazing how these liberals / socialists / islamists can come up with all sorts of failings of the US and Christianity .... but when faced with their own crimes they cannot even acknowledge them much less discuss or deal with them.

If there were "extremists" in the US or "Christians" anywhere in the world that were attacking Iran, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Syria or Lebanon with terrorist attacks it would be the United States of America that would lead the fight both in the media and the military in preventing them from continuing.

I'm still waiting for any of the above mentioned countries to make the same stand against their own extremists.

Something tells me the money that these countries funnel to them is not to cease and desist hostilities.

Do you even know the real reason why they hate the west so much? Look up a document called the Sykes-Picot Agreement.

The Arabs were screwed roally when they laid their as ses on the line after WWI. They had just suffered 500+ years of Ottoman rule and when they tried to ally with the west they were stabbed in the back by England, France and the Zionists.

You have NO idea what you're talking about kid.

interior the midsection East the media is controlled via the government hence you pay attention no longer something undesirable approximately Islam. each little thing they do is above board. they have no opposition, they do what they decide for whilst they decide for to do it. they arrive to the U. S. and coffee and behold issues are a good purchase distinctive. If certainly one of their brethren screws up everybody hears approximately it and it is not friendly. in the event that they decide for to put in a Mosque they locate out that they ought to get a good style of peoples cooperation before they'd do it and that they do unlike that. so they counter via asserting the West is attacking Islam even however they are getting the comparable shake as everybody else.

You know, you could make a pretty good list of attacks against American targets by Conservative Christian extremists over the last 20 or 30 years, too.

April 19, 1972 -- William Yakopec of the "Secret Army Organization" detonates a bomb in a theater in San Diego.

1975 -- Other members of the SAO are arrested for attempting to kill a college professor and a San Diego journalist. They claim their work was funded by the FBI.

March 1984 -- Members of "The Order" bomb a theater in Seattle, as a diversion for a bank robbery.

1984 -- Members of "The Order" detonate a bomb in a synagogue.

June 1984 -- Members of "The Order" murder a radio talk show host in front of his home.

April 19, 1995 -- Bombing of Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City kills 168. This was the largest act of terrorism in American history before 2001.

July 27, 1996 -- "Army of God" member bombs the Olympic Park in Atlanta, killing 2 and injuring 111.

1997 -- "Army of God" member bombs two nightclubs in Atlanta, injuring 5.

Jan. 29, 1998 - "Army of God" claims responsibility for bombing a Birmingham clinic, killing an off-duty police officer and injuring one other.

1998 -- "Army of God" member shoots at least 7 doctors in separate incidents, killing one.

April 1, 1998 -- Unidentified assailant throws a molotov cocktail into a clinic in Pacific Beach

April 6, 1998 -- Unidentified assailant throws a bottle of flammable liquid into a clinic in Fargo.

July 2, 1999 -- Member of "World Church of the Creator" goes on three day rampage, killing 2 and wounding 9.

August 10, 1999 -- Member of "Aryan Nations" goes on shooting spree in Granada Hills, CA, killing 1 and injuring 5 others.

June 11, 2001 -- Unidentified assailant detonates a bomb at a clinic in Tacoma.

2001 "Army of God" member sends over 550 anthrax threat letters to clinics

I'm sure I've missed some.

I think this proves that "America is under attack by Conservative Christianity."

What does that mean? What should we do about it? Do you think we should treat "Conservative Christianity" differently from "Islam"? Is it fair to judge normal people by the actions of crazy people who claim similar beliefs?

The West has provoked the rest of the world... Get your history straight. Most of Africa has been f'd with civil wars because of the Western nations. Clan/culture relocation. The world was much more balanced before the West has interfered with the other cultures. With colonialism by the british, french and the dutch, they displaced and cluster ****** half of the world.

Before you give us your FACTS, look at the whole story as to WHY these people are so pist off.

The West has been meddling with other people's affairs for longer than you understand. Start with that and go from there. It's about retaliation to the biggots of the world.

I actually think you said it all yourself. Those are EXTREMISTS most Muslims aren't trying to kill everyone. Extremists of any kind are nuts by nature and will do all sorts of outrageous things. I could point out that the Crusades were instigated by Christians and that there were more atrocities commited then than by Hitler. Don't try to spawn hate. There's enough of it already.
