Wear a cream colored dress if you don't want to wear white with a pearly red ribbion, tied in a bow on your waist that goes all the way down to the floor. then take the same material and tie a piece around your wrist, then if you want you can even tie a piece on your neck as a chocker.

Choose a color that is flattering to your complexion. There are many shades of white, off-white, and candlelight. A stark white overpowers most complexions, so take time to find the most flattering shade of white or off-white. It might help to think about it in terms of what the undercasting color is: some whites are blue-based, while others are yellow or pink; some off-whites are yellow-based, while others are green or gray. Don’t overlook light pastel colors, too. A very, very pale pink might be exceptionally flattering for the bride, and in combination with lace or other ornamentation would not look like “a pink dress.” And there are beautiful shades of champagne and ecru, many of which look deliciously elegant and sophisticated.

Best wishes!!!

An off-white tone is best. Think yellowish-white with gold accents (ribbons, etc). Here in Indonesia we have red and gold or batik though. Or maybe you can find a pattern you like and wear a white dress with sleeves made of the patterned fabric you picked. Something like that. But must people traditionally go for white, but I don't like it either! If your future parents-in-law don't like your decision, just add a lot of colored accesories or accents.

i think it's best to wear white. let nobody else wear white during the ceremony and reception except you. that'll make you stand out, you should because it's your day. But if you don't want to be traditional, wear any color you like in soft hues, that should do it. anyway, congratulations and I hope it'll be a nice wedding.

It depends on your culture & country. In some countries, brides wear red dresses, but I think white is the best colr.

Usually a off white or beige color is suitable. But if you want some other colors any pastel colors will do. By the way CONGRATULATIONS!!!

You are getting married, you are buying the dress, your day, your color. They don't like it,...they can bite you.
