I always figured that in extreme cases I would be able to like if someone was hurting me physically or hurting someone innocent that I would be able to commit such an act. But I never figured I'd commit murder just on a whim... UNTIL someone really pi$$ed me off and I truly threatened them and meant it. Luckily they left but for that moment in time I realized that you never know what you are capable of.

I think that inevitably it's inside of every human being. Killing is one of the first things that we would have learned in order to survive as a species. Even though that nowadays it's not always prevelent in our daily lives, it'll still be inside of us. If a person is given a situation in which there was either kill or be killed the majority of people would kill and same their existance. That's a situation at the extreme end, there are countless others where the choice would be not be as great because there would be other ways around; though if a person is pushed hard enough to their breaking point and would make the kill. Everybody's different so how much it takes to make a person make the kill will be different but it'll always be there deep inside.

All human beings are capable of killing but, usually only PSYCHOPATHS are capable of MURDER.
Keep in mind that murder and killing aren't the same thing.
Murder is the premeditated unlawful killing of one human being by another through any action intended to kill or cause grievous bodily harm. Legalised killing, such as genocide, can also constitute murder if it violates international law.
Killing is merely the ending of life and carries much less negativity that the word murder.
You are asking me if I feel I am capable of intentionally, premeditating the unlawful killing of another human being.
Killing for SELF DEFENSE is NOT MURDER.
It is not unlawful to kill someone in self defense. Alot of people who have answered the question say "I'd do it to protect my family"... that is NOT MURDER.
I don't know many people who would not kill in self defense or to protect their family.
Murder is a heinous crime of personal malace.
Terrorists Murder people.
Assasins murder people.
NO - I don't feel I would be capable of murder

anyone is CAPABLE of murder, but WILL they do it is another question. Most people do not like violence. Only once their emotions take control, do people use violence - on an individual level and excluding war. I've trained people in combat and when they were put into a violent situation, they couldn't see hitting or hurting the other person and had to walk away. Hurting people without any emotion takes a unique personality. Protection of your young is one of the biggest motivators for murder or self defense depending on how you look at it.

I'm sure in self-defense I'm capable of murder. Or if someone murdered my brother, friend etc. I might also be capable of it. I'm not saying that I would do it, but I think I'd be capable of it. I'd never be capable of murder just because I was emotionally hurt. If someone steals your husband, that is really horrible, but no one deserves to die because of it.

No, I cant imagine that happening. No matter how emotionally hurt I was, killing is just not comprehendable.
I saw a news story about a woman who was stabbed 45 times by her ex-lover and I just cringed.
How anyone could do that is beyond me.

You should read the book Thr3e by Ted Dekker if you haven't already. It's an awesome suspense novel that explores that question.
And to answer your question, I think we are all capable of murder if pushed to it. I could never imagine myself killing someone, but I'm probably capable of it.

Funny situation. This guy messed with my mom, and I just told him to go to hell. Word got out to my uncles what this guy did and that I had only yelled at him, and they were all angry that I didn't kill him. Literally kill him. I've been pretty ashamed. I really think if something like that happens again, I'll have to kill the person just to live with myself.

I am, and I would do it for self preservation or to stop another from injuring a child or my family if I had to, no questions about it. As far as my emotions, I'm more inclined to blow up a car or TV or burn a house down than to kill out of emotinal heartache.

ONLY if my life or the lives of my family/loved one's or an innocent person were being threatened. (kill or be killed situation) NEVER out of hurt or other emotions.... I would love to help kick the sh**t out of a child molester, any abuser, drunk driver, druggie-scuz or other piece of Sh**.... like that but I honestly wouldn't even think of killing him/her. I think I'd get more satisfaction out of kicking their azz...
Killing... No Way... Only in that one circumstance.
Anyone who would kill someone for any other reason than preserving life is a P.O.S themselves and definately deserves THEIR AZZ kicked...
My Opinion....
