Start your own internet. The internet is just a bunch of computers connected together as a "Wide area network" or "WAN". Then, as you start trying to build it, you'll see you have to pay for the electricity the computers and networking equipment need. You'll see you need to pay for the wire you use to connect the computers together. And if you want faster speeds, you'll need to use more expensive cable and equipment. When you can get all this hardware for free, you can find more ways of internet access that are free. Until then, you need to pay for it, at least to some level. When you have thousands of people paying a small amount, getting this equipment and periodically replacing it with faster equipment, isn't so expensive for one person or company.

people have to pay for the following to make te internet happen:
servers
telecommunications lines
phone lines
phone access (or any means to connect to the internet)
maintenance workers
repair tools and installation
delivery trucks for the tools and network materials
webmasters (for their services)
domain registration
server hosting services
and a host of many other things.
many people put in a lot of hard work and money in order for you to have the ability to ask this simple question. that is why you have to pay for the internet.

Yoy pay???? When did this start??? It is free here in Wyoming. They say there are so few people here that it would not be worth charging us for it.
Achohol, drugs, groceries, gas, are free here too. We voted on this a few years ago but everyone agreed to keep it quiet, you KNOW to keep the riffraff out.

u dont have 2 for palms and laptops but in some places soon u will be able to connect from anywhere with ur laptop and palm and i know soon (minimum 3 years) u will be able to connect free from ur computer
