Traditionally, a snake eating its own tail is symbolic of eternity, just as the snake was traditionally a symbol of regeneration, due to its ability to shed its own skin. In terms of narrative, the single snake is a narrative that loops upon itself, going back to the beginning.

what is ur religion? for the Greeks had a myth tale called something I can't recall (sorry) but the thing is that when a snake starts to eat itself it means the end of the world is going to happen because at one point in time Greeks used snakes to tell the date and months but that was before the gods Zues, Aires, and all them came about

Making circle = looking for direction
Eating itself = suicide, give up
Maybe this dream is about you are trying to look for some sort of direction in life and you tend to give up at last? Not sure if this is what it means, but looks like you sub-conscience is trying to tell that you want to change something but couldn't and at the end you give up.

It means you were unsure about how you were feeding the snake. You didn't think you were taking care of it properly and thought it was hungry.Probably meant no more than that.
