For some time i have been looking at review's on this and other site's about the new playstation and the new Nintendo, and it seams to me the vote is split down the middle. Is it that they are both good systems or are they loyal to the brand name? Also how can anyone compair the two since you can't get them till november anyway's. I want your thought's on why you like the system you do?

Please don,t talk about the price vs the two systems, i would just like to know why you think one is better than the other. I'm also not sure about the joystick for the nintendo, looks weird if you ask me..

The PS3 sounds like its going to be like a computer and I already have one of those. Although PS3 has a lot more games than Nintendo and better graphics, Nintendo has always been the innovator. They introduced the running pad for Track & Field back in the 80s, the Zapper for duck hunt, the Power Glove, the 4 controller concept, the Rumble Pack, the DS touch screen and microphone, and now the Wii controller. Let me know if I missed something. The games don't get enough credit because the most popular games of today are usually very violent. I love Nintendo and can't wait for the Wii.

I like the new Nintendo system the best, because they're focusing on making the actual gaming experience new and fresh and fun. Their philosophy is that game play is what makes games fun, and not graphics alone. That's why they have the motion sensor controller coming out, so they can think of more innovative ways to make games, and make it appealing to a larger audience.
To me, the PlayStation 3 just seems like the same system, with the only differences being better graphics and a larger price tag.
Personally, I'm sick of the lack of new game ideas on the present market, and am sick of playing the same game again and again with a different title. The Wii will be a different experience, so I'm going for it. It'll be a lot cheaper too. And of course, you'll get all the classic Nintendo franchise games as well.

Playstation = Violent Games (not saying it doesnt have Rated E games, also or that Rated E games Cant be Violent) that can be so realistic that people might not want their children playing some games on this system. Nintendo = Damn Good fun and RARELY(as in not to my knowledge)too violent. Anyways They are both loyal to their own name, as in PlayStation believes anyone should be able to buy their games and be able to enjoy it. In the other hand Nintendo wants anyone and everyone with an inner child(a child should be the only one playing these games in the first place; any system, not just nintendo) to play their games for enjoyability, and as well challenges.

I say Nintendo. I agree with Toast. New gaming experience. Even Playstation knows it, they stole the design!!!!
Basically it comes down to what you think will improve your gaming experience. I think that being interactive will be better than graphics. Like seeing every splatter of blood when you shoot someone is good for some people, but I'd rather be able to put my arm up, point and shoot, if that makes more sense...
Also, virtual console with like every nintendo game made in the past 20 years and also Sega games!
