it's kinda weird but sometimes I see people with a couple or so of mosquitos hovering over their heads following them wherever they go.. any explanation why?

Mosquitos like damp places, so maybe the scalp is a little sweaty or damp. Another reason is because of the... er... smell. No, really, the smell of layers of dead skin & the blood inside. Mosquitos prefer black or dark hair, so brunettes get a lot of bugs orbiting their heads. They know how I feel... lol

Mosquitos are attracted to the perspiration, heat, and carbon dioxide coming from the body. Heat rises and carbon dioxide is breathed out through the mouth, so it would make sense that they would hover around your head.

Mosquitos can "smell" the blood, and some people have sweeter smelling blood than others. Seriously. I think there is something you can eat, maybe carrots, that deters the little buggers.
