What bugs me most is that the pretext for the who Afghanistan/Iraq invasion was 9-11 and that 9-11 was so obviously a false flag operation conducted by a rogue network in-and-out-of the executive branch of our own government. Several foreign intelligence agencies had dirty hands in the matter, as well.

Anyone who believes in big secret conspiracies has never tried to organize a surprise party. It always gets out, and government workers are the biggest blabbers of all.

You (or that other site rather) make it sound like the US deliberately orchestrated the events on 9/11, which has been repeatedly proven to be false, as it was the work of extremist Muslims who wanted to knock the US down a few pegs (hence why they struck the symbolic economic and military strengths in the US, little realizing that they'd have the opposite effect of getting us to war with ourselves).
There will always be conspiracy theorists who refuse to believe anything the government says. Granted, they don't always tell the truth, but Bush is way too incompetent to have pulled something like 9/11 off. Granted, he used this as a pre-text to invade Iraq (and Saddam certainly wasn't an ideal leader either), but to say that the US deliberately did this on purpose is just kind of silly.
They probably also believe the moon landing was faked as well.

Look, I don't like Bush any more than the next guy (or gal), but I really don't think Bush has the brains to pull of something like this. So until the conspiracy theorists come out with names, and documents supporting those names, I'm not interested.
It's like saying FDR knew about Pearl Harbor before it happened...lots of people tried to popularize that theory! Hogwash.

invading afghanistan was right since that's where al-quaida was hiding out. iraq is just a big mess now.
