If a friends husband acts inappropriately towards you and you are friends with the wife should you tell her or warn him and not tell the wife and tell him next time you will tell her?

Hm. I assume that by inappropriately, you mean something along the lines of something sexual/flirting/whatnot. If I were you, I would tell him that his behaviour is inappropriate and he is making you uncomfortable, and if he does not stop, you will inform his wife and if it's really bad, perhaps the police, I don't realy know the situation. If this doesn't work, tell him again, and if it still isn't working, suggest to his wife that while her husband may not be intending to, he is making you feel a bit uncomfortable. This way she can mention it to him (perhaps phrasing it as her own observation, again I don't really know the situation or how close you are with the wife or anything) and you're not really accusing him of anything, and the problem should still be solved.

well...if u know he s trying to flirt with u try this.make him know that u r very happy with ur husband n ur kids.tell him that he has got a nice family n it would be a sad thing if anything could happen to them.if he still flirts with u, tell him straight that u only regards him a a friend n that what he is doing is wrong.make him think of the people that he is going to hurt, ur husband, his wife, the kids, the neighbors n friends.but one thing for sure is u should never, never, never be alone with him coz u never know what his next move will be n never, never, never tell him or the wife that u hv a problem with ur husband coz this will be a chance for him to make a move.good luck!

Tell him to knock it off; avoid ever seeing him if at all possible. Only mention it to the friend if the husband behaves seriously inappropriately; then consider that friendship lost.

It depends on the friendship with the offenders wife. The difficultly is whether she believes you (may already have cause to suspect) or in denial. Its definitely tricky and maybe you could test your friend by saying a "what if" scenario and see her reaction...

Ultimately you want to be honest and help and that is the thing to remember

In my opinion, speak to the husband first. Just get things straight explaining how stupid this can get and for what? But don't mention this to his wife (your friend), as it is sometimes best not to be candid. Why hurt her?

I would tell him in no uncertain terms that what he did was unacceptable.

I would tell his wife if it was very serious, not just cheap talk.

Warn him, don't tell her because she won't believe you and you'll lose a friendship.
