Jacob's Ladder, starring Tim Robbins, Elizabeth Pena, and Macauley Caulkin in his first role. It has to do with the effects of LSD experiments on a group of soldiers. Very scary, very well done, but awfully confusing. Here's the link, if you're interested.

Elaborates a little on the Swimming Pool, hope that helps..

but as for weird movies I've seen...
The Jacket..or Stay

but then I sat there and thought about them for a loong time and finally figured them out

Or else in the foreign world, The Audition or Infection..

Both were just plain weird, creepy, and confusing.

i have seen all these films and had little trouble with any of them.

i watched Antonioni's "Zabriskie Point" when i was 17 - i mean i groked it deeply ! but i can't say i knew what the f*ck was goin on in the story, if there was one, with all the flower children rolling around in the desert!

The Pink Floyd song is stilll playing my head - i think the song was Pig Meat Heart Beat? Maybe not someone correct me!

But Zabriskie Point is my answer.

Yum Yum - You are on fire with good questions this morning!!

Ran directed by Akira Kurosawa

"Ran" in Japanese means confuse / mess up and I absolutely had no idea what the story was about. It should be a Japanese version of King Lear, but I dare to watch it again!

The flat-out weirdest movie I've ever seen was "Eraserhead." There's a mutant baby in it. I loved it, though.

The most confusing movie I've ever seen was "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest."
I just couldn't understand why the hell everyone likes it so much. I thought it was shite.

Allow me to help... Swimming Pool = hot chick in small bathing suit. Works for me on several levels. I bought it for the DVD case.

Try "My Dinner with Andre". Two guys eating dinner.... one of Ebert's 100 best movies of all time.

Say, any of you boys smithies? Or, if not smithies per se, were you otherwise trained in the metallurgic arts before straitened circumstances forced you into a life of aimless wanderin'

I don't mean to sound "smart" but I don't have any movies that have ever confused me to the point I didn't understand it. All the movies listed above, I've seen and I comprehend the point completely. Weird is different than confusing, and there are hundreds of films that are unique in their story and point of view.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

I'm into weird movies, or movies that make you think to figure them out, but this one was just like 'huh?' to me. I even watched it twice (it pained me to do so) to see if I missed something the first time.
