It's a poster to be presented at the congress of human genetics .
I want to add some colors and lights to my poster to make it attractive and beautiful.

No idea here if your poster is going to be plain text or have some graphics. You might consider using acrylics as the paint, as they can be "built up" to give a 3 D effect to your work.

Make your poster as plain and simple as possible.
People are often more capture by the simplest of the poster.

Design the poster as you like.

Take it to a copy place, like Kinko's and have them cop it, with part of it in holographic ( diffraction ) paper. It will make that part glow.

they can probably show you samples to help you decide what to do.

more blue or green gradient colors.
make a transparrent logo on the gackground
and use simple elegance sanserif fonts.
(don't use silly looking fonts)
