We really need more info to help you, however golfish is normaly easy to keep. The most important thing is the oxygen supply for them.As a rule of tjhumb you need 1 litre of water for each centimeter of fish. This is very important. If this is ok and PH of the tank is also ok the water may be contaminated with a bacteria to which goldfish is more vulnerable.
I have a personal experience that goldfish is vulnerable to change in water.I personnaly don't change the water at all just top up the tank as the water evaporates.
Hope it helps

Overfeeding the fish can cause a buildup of uneated food. This causes lots of unhealthy ammonia and nitrites to build-up in the water over time. Ammonia and nitrites are VERY toxic to fish. Gold fish are actually more tolerant than most fish, but too much will kill them. Feed them a pinch of food once per day. If you have more than one or two fish, a larger pinch will do.

Also, change about 25% of the water once a week and change the filter in your tank every two to four weeks.

Good Luck!! PM If you need any further advice

your fishes' health depends on the number of fish in the tank, the tank size, whether or not u are using a filter. regardless of whether or not you were told if you need a filter or not, it puts more oxygen in there, and removes some of the harmful acids (brings down the pH). Oh and there is such thing as over feeding your fish. They should only have a few pellets a day. too much food can also pollute the tank.
good luck!

How long has ur tank been cycled? Do u do water tests? Ammonia builds up rapid in a bowl! fact: goldfish have no stomachs so u feed them a lil bit extra often! Like a small pinch 5 cases an afternoon!

Have you tried putting them in water that always seems to help when you have fish..
I don't know I gave up trying to keep goldfish, my best guess is it is a ploy by the fish industry to make money they geneticly engineer them to die shortly after leaving the store.

You could be overfeeding them, keeping them in a stressful environment, or not giving them enough sun.

Move them to a calm, sunny place, and only feed it 2 flakes every day, no more.

Also, have you pH neutralised the water? or just chuck them in a tank of tapwater? You need to buy neutraliser and add 2 drops per tank and mix well before putting in a fish. You ca buy them from any pet store

u have 2 be reality responsible 2 keep up with a fish tank no matter what kind of fish is in it. but never fear for those people that can't for whatever reason the do make a fish tank that u DO NOT have 2 change the filter ever u can find them in a salt water fish store BUT they r very costly.

That might be the problem...the Goldfish is a member of the carp family and a goldfish will eat as much as you feed it. literally eat itself to death. They also are temperature sensitive creatures.

maybe its the chlorine in the water that you didnt remove using a liquid cleanser. or maybe you over feed them 'feed them all the time' fish can die if you feed them too much. if you keep handling them also they will die and then if you keep changing the water they will die of shock,.

Its the type of water you have, you can go to a pet store and get a test to see if you water is good or bad for the type of fish you have, or it could be that your water is too dirty, and you need to pick up a water filter/purifier.
