Identity
I figured out the ending within the first TEN MINUTES and had to suffer through the entire rest of the movie.

Two
_____
War of the Worlds when the alien things died because [Couldn't they use advanced machines and stay protected inside them?] and because [Weren't that what they were using?] and in the beginning of the movie the narrator said they were studying the humans for years. Didn't they ever see a person who was down with the flu? Didn't they wonder why and look it up?
The Omen. "WTF? THAT'S IT?" is what I said to my friends when the movie was over. I thought that the ending would be something interesting, something leading to a part-two. But no, the interest is just left out open as to be a part-two. You can't just split a story and make them different parts. Both of them have to make sense alone.
Here's how I thought the ending to be:
In part one they will kill the boy by making a crucifix shape in him and then they would find out that there was ONE missing sign, and so the boy would have been a supporter of the Antichrist, but not directly him. And so, the father would find it his job to hunt down and kill [as to revenge his mistakenly dead son] the antichrist in part-two. This way it would really show not the action side, but the emotional side as well. Great idea, isn't it? YO, WB, DON'T USE IT UNLESS YOU ASK. lOl.

The movie "The Firm" with Tom Cruise playing the character in the John Grisham novel, he's a young Harvard Law grad who is offered a job that's too good to be true with a law firm, that just happens to be the Mafia. In the end he and his wife drive their old car off into the sunset, which is NOT at all what happened in the book. It hate it when the ending to a movie based on a well konwn book is totally different from the book.

Requiem For a Dream...I've read the book like three times, and I understand why the movie had to end as it did (the hero-addiction-had to win), but it still left me with the worst feeling in the world..I honestly walked around in a bit of a haze for a few days afterward..I loved that movie but the way the ending left you feeling, just sucked....
but otherwise, West Side Story
I mean, I love that movie to death, but at the end I either wanted Maria to die or Tony to live...They just couldn't be apart like they were =(
Or Butterfly Effect.....it was just sort of a weird vaguely optimistic ending to a depressing movie...
and last (I swear!) POTC 2..there was NO ending!! I went to the midnight showing and was waiting for a good ending that would let me be all sleepy and content, but..there wasn't!
Ok, that's it..Wow, I have a lot..lol

the immediate standout in my mind is Contact. it was written by an acclaimed astrphysicist carl sagan which gave it immense credibility.
radio satelites pick up an alien signal that when translated had the blueprints for building a transport to ???? the whole movie ,with jodie foster and mcaunaghey, is mostly build up to the construction of this device and when they finally use it .........jodie foster is transported to a beach to talk to her dead father??????
there was a collective moan in the theatre.

I can't for the life of me remember the name of it, but it had Nicholas Cage & Meg Ryan. He plays an angel who falls to earth to be with her because he loves her. The ending totally sucked.

da vinci code. the place of the sarcophagus was a total give away, and it shouldn't have been that way. the ending should have been like the book, an open end.

I say this in all seriousness: "Mean Girls."
I was really digging it until the third act when Rachael Adams got hit by a bus. That was just dumb.
