Yes, it's OK to coast down a hill without the engine running without damaging the engine. When the engine is not running, the engine and rear wheel are not engaged together. Put your scooter on the center stand and spin the rear wheel by hand. It spins freely with out turning the engine.

It won't harm a thing as long as you're in neutral. Not a thing. And if it'll roll in gear, you won't hurt anything in gear either. You won't have the benefit of being able to use the weight of the machine or the resistance of the gears to slow you down, so you may harm yourself but not the scooter.

It wont damage the engine if you are not in gear... if in gear, it might damage if the engine is Two stroke...

Either way, it might prove to be lethal as the braking will be poor.!

leave engine on your engine still turning even while it off so yes in some ways build up gas in cab + files out plug hard on restart if you need to stop dump clutch put in idle still get same gas mileage doing more harm than good in idle you engine stop just very run u got to give fuel evey bit

you are not really doing major harm but if you do it too long and too often you will hurt the motor, because when the motor is running and the transmission or chain is moving the parts are being kept lubricated and cooled and therefore better preserved.

its ok but it may be illegal .

Its illegal in a mtr vehicle to coast out of gear.
