I had something like this happen with my printer a few days ago. I could not figure it out; and no other computer literate person that I know could figure it out either. The best solution anyone could come up with was to go into Start then choose All Programs then in my case Select Brother in the list of programs (I have a Brother printer) and do an Uninstall and then Reinstall using the CD that came with the printer. This did solve the problem. We have been having a lot of thunderstorms in my area, and a couple of people suggested that it is always best to have your computer and printer shut down during those types of storms. Well my computer was off, because I was at work, but I generally leave the printer on for my fax. I do have everything plugged into a really good surge protector with a battery back-up, but that is not always foolproof. Electronics can definitely have minds of their own. Hope this helps, have a good night!

What is the error message?

Assuming you have Windows XP. Firstly, look at the Print Manager by going to Start -> Control Panel -> Printers and Other Hardware -> View Installed Printers (under Pick a task...) -> then click on the appropriate printer. Make sure it's the right one and not a fax. Then you should see the file and see if it is paused and why.

Go to the Document menu and hit Resume or Restart. If that doesn't Work, try Cancel All Documents, in the Printer menu. Maybe it will clear the memory and start over. You may also want to check out Preferences or Properties (also in the Printers menu).

Or you could simply unplug the printer from the wall wait a minute and plug it back in. Sometime a hard reboot works wonders. Might also want to restart or reboot the Computer too.

It might be an issue with the file being too big so that the computer needs to take a while to spool it and the printer doesn't have enough memory. Try closing all other open programs before printing.

Feel free to post more info or email one of us here for additional help.

Right, I spose I'll give this a go. I have a slight feelin you may just have it installed to the wrong port so screw it, here goes. I'm gonna assume you're runnin windows xp. Click on start, go to control panel and make sure you're viewing it in classic view. Click on printers and faxes then on the left hand side, click on add a printer. Go through the step by step thing and click "automatically find printer" when displayed. Obviously before you do this make sure your printer is on connected and all that jazz. Then it'll start searching and once you find it, click on it and it should install it. If you continue to have problems erm, you can consult me but you probably wont find me so try the manufacturers website instead. Hope this helps, Laterz!

It would've been helpful if you'd included the error message and the sequence of steps you took... Try this ->
1. Go to start->Run and type in services.msc
2. In the services window that opens up, scroll down to the one that says 'Print Spooler'
3. Select this service, right click and click on 'Start', if it is enabled.
4. If you see the service starting... mostly likely that's it. Try printing again.

Are the documents queued in the printer queue? If so then try clearing the queue entirely and then power clear the printer and try again.

Before reinstalling the drivers, shut down your pc and the printer.

Do a cold boot, then try to print.

did you check your ink.or it might be the printer itself which is not working properly
or the printer drivers are not installed on your computer
