She is an honest, caring and humble person because of all the hardwork she had invested on to be her. It doesnt take one day to become who you are in the end. She is an epitome of success both personlity and wealth. Most of these hollywoodians are plain pretentious and with serious emotional baggage. She is not because she knows what she wants.

off the top of my head I think she is an icon in so many ways. she a survivor of child abuse, she showed currage and commitment to over come this. Shes worked in TV for 20 years and has listened and reported on peoples lives/problems which I think holds her in good stead. Perhaps the thing that stands out for me the most is that she believes she has a purpose (which is tied up in beliefs), and does not judge people which I think is also a good trait.

she was raised on a little dirt farm in the deep south and didnt have much of anything in her life as a child. she knows we are all just the same.
