I am almost 10 weeks pregnant. A few weeks ago I found it very hard to eat...anything. I had no appitite and what I did eat came out later. Now I am starting to get my hunger back, and its coming on strong. I eat about 6 times a day but very small meals. I went out to eat last night with my boyfriend and I coulnd't eat a thing! I aws really hungry though. I noticed that when I go out and I am in public I have no appitite and I feel sick to eat. Is this normal or just my nerves goofing with me? When I am at home I eat fine, but in public something happens where I feel I cant eat.

Not a closet eater at all. When Im out in public I just feel like my stomach is turning and nauseated. Do you think it might be because of all these things I am smelling at the restaurant at once. My nose has been like sensitive radar lately!

You might be responding to allthe smells of other foods in restaurants. Sometimes the smells of fryer grease, or other restaurant smells can overstimulate a slightly nauseated person. That was a problem with me. I was also a little aprehensive because I was afraid I might have to go puke during the meal. Early pregnancy is hard on the appetite, but fortunately, yourbaby is very small and is not affected by loss of appetite and nausea. make sure youre hydrated and that you eat healthy foods that arent likely to make you feel gross.

Maybe your lack of hunger out in public could be that people can't see yet that you are pregnant and you don't want to come off as someone who's licking their plate clean sub consciously.
I noticed when I was pregnant, there were days I was hungry but nothing sounded good at all, and there were days i would go the entire day and not want a thing. It's normal. As long as the baby is getting enough nutrition don't worry about.
P.S. Congratulations!

Hi lol
it seems u r young in age,
stop worring about eating out...will pass
but in addition to other persons say,plz try this:

your friends & ur neighbours should bring several kinds
of food and drinks(non alcoholic of course)
water ,fruits,milk,vegitables..& so
it should be as a surprise or random action ,not regular
and also should be changed in source, shape, way of
prsntng....etc
This kind of feeding is effictive,
you'll feel ok
God help you baby

also try not to eat from anything you wait for
its preparing
and try not to smell your food for long time..
that is normal in this period....it has a relation with the
construction of baby &his psychology and body...
as you do eating, don't worry about all stuff...
IT IS NORMAL....

its your nerves, stop worrying about it, you are supposed to eat, if you dont that will endanger your child. in your second trimester you eat everything thats not tied down. just eat good for you foods, pregnant but not married, sad oh well, the last trimester you start to feel uncomfortable and your desire to eat usually goes down. good luck

ARE YOU A CLOSET EATER?? JUST EAT AT HOME THEN, EVENTUALLY YOU WILL GET REALLY HUNGRY AND I DON'T THINK IT WOULD MATTER WHERE YOU WERE.
