There is nothing wrong with thinking. You are 18 years old by your profile. You are probably thinking about life and your future. As long as you are seeing and talking to people, you are fine. I am a whole lot older and I isolate myself by choice. It is not a happy life. So, go out into the world and think. We need great thinkers. Have a great life. Enjoy everything that life has to offer, love God and your country, and do for others. This will make you rich beyond your wildest dreams. Go forth and think!

I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GOING THROUGH... You're hands are idle. When you are bored, you're mind will wonder. Find something that you love to do, some kind of craft that you love. Pick up a new hobbie! Trust me, after my fionce was killed in a car wreck, I did the same thing. A sign of depression... I picked up the hobbie of painting tile mosiacs, a great way to make money and a great healing power. A wondering mind is not always good. Don't drive yourself crazy!

Plus, I know what it is like to be in the company of others, and your mind is still wondering, you cant concentrate on what is going on around you! Being alone is not bad at all. Just keep your mind on other things besides your worries. You will snap out of it.

Just because you spend time alone doesn't mean there is necessarily anything wrong with you. You might just be an introvert. But what do you mean when you say that you are isolating yourself "not by choice?" Who or what is causing you to be isolated?

You sound very introspective, which is good. And being a filmmaker, you are basically a writer and need time to read and organize all those deep thoughts. The problem is that writers are usually hermits and need other people to help them socialize. If you don't have a lot of friends, try forcing yourself to get out of the house even if it's just going to the grocery store. Talk to the produce people, they're usually the friendliest types.

I spent most of my life trying to understand the world cerebrally, trying to figure out what processes lie beneath the functions -- from the individual to society to the universe -- like it was a machine I could mentally disassemble. All I found was more questions. I learned, though, that you benefit a lot more from participating than observing. Introspection is a wonderful trait to have, but deep people often get lost inside themselves -- usually lost in the question "What's wrong with me?" All that separates you from the happy masses of shallow, social people is your tendency to (over-)analyze your experiences. Whatever it is you're thinking about, go do it, or at least actively pursue knowledge in it. Give it a try.

You can be thinking alot while your doing. Thinking is good if it is productive thinking. If it's worrying type thinking then that is unhealthy and would be prudent to consider what your worried about. Many things in life can't be changed, those things including your distant future are not worth getting yourself caught up in, unless the decisions you've been making are detrimental to your relationship to God and others.
It is important to have a place of solace, for me it's spending time with the Lord in the morning. Praying, reading the word, listening to His voice, I gain insight and peace of mind by presenting my requests before God and knowing that He is in control.

It's a lot, NOT "alot." Can't anyone spell a lot?!!!!
If you are isolating yourself not by choice as you say, then someone must be keeping you a prisoner. Letting them do that is what's wrong with you.

Do you have panic and fear? I do, I went through this over the last 3 years. I am still working on trying not to think all the time as well and staying in my home ( Safe place). I was told that the best way to get out of this is to ...Just do it!!

Trust me it works. Stop thinking so much and try to get out a bit more. Baby steps..

No. Thinking alot is very good for growing boys & girls ( and I mean grown ups in that too) It provides you with introspection, medation. obsevation of other things & people. In other words, kid, it sounds like you're doing ok if you are still having a social life. Not everyone can or should be party animals. So keep your chin up!
