We were supposed to get married and he died in a car crash four days after our daughter was born. Now I constantly dream about him when all I want to do is move on with our lives.

The human body is a fantastic thing. Until today, no one can fully explain everything to do with it. What someone means to you is how much of an experience you've had with him/her. It's your take on someone else. You knew your husband, experienced him like no other. The more you want to move on, the more you're gonna sub consciously think about him. Want an example? Try sitting down on your couch and tell yourself, "i want to think of nothing. I want to think of nothing!". I guarantee you, the amount of thoughts that your brain'll process will quickly get tiring. However, embracing the fact that he's gone, accepting it and living with it. That's the way to move on. It's common to keep telling yourself that "ok i know i have to move on.." but here's the thing. Acknowledging something, realising it and taking action are two very different things. Your dreams are there because as much as you consciously want to move on, your sub conscious mind's telling you.. you're NOT moving on. Don't try and shut his memory out just to move on. He meant so much more to you than that. Embrace the life he spent with you and in doing so my dear, you'll really move on. I'm sorry for your loss and i wish all the luck in the world. Remember, it's not so much his memory that's screaming out to you in your dreams. It's your experience of him that's yelling out.. "Stop shutting me OUT!" That's how much you and he had a connection. Embrace him.. don't shut him out and you'll be able to smile at the rising sun soon enough.

yes it's happened to me, too, after my dad and my best friend died. i don't know if it's really them visiting, or if it's our own minds compensating for the loss and trying to work it out while we sleep, but either way i take comfort in their presence when it comes and realize that they are still in my life in whatever form that dream is. it doesn't mean not moving on, in fact it might be an important part of the healing process.

In your case, I believe(though am no psyhic or anything)that he is coming through to you in your dreams, to let you know that he is okay now, misses you, will always love you but maybe really it is a way of him saying, "You are still young, you need to move on...." I am sorry you had to go through such a thing, right before what was going to be a happy day, your wedding day! However, dreams to me, give us some answers, some resolution and even clarity sometimes. I would give yourself time but once you have, and maybe you have already, please take care of yourself, go out and meet others and you just never know...............good luck! I know dreams about my Grandma who I was very close to, have always let me know that she is always with me. They are always a warm and fuzzy feeling and still have it when I wake up. I believe people who you are close with, come to you in your dreams........believe it or not!

Sorry to hear of your tragidy, I lost 4 b/f's, at different times,I was in a relationship at the time with each of them, 10 yrs after my first man died i was camping with my b/f and i had the same dream 2 nights in a row, he came to me and gave me a warning, both times he just hugged me and told me to leave my then b/f.His face was still the same but his hair was very long, so i figured in 10 yrs it would be that long.My then b/f suicided about 5 months after my dreams. How weird is that, but i think he could see what was happening with my relationship with him and he just wanted me to leave him so i wouldnt have to face his on coming suicide.Thats what i believe and no one will tell me differently. Huzs to you from Amazon.

I can't say for sure but I think its probably much more about you than it is about being visited by the dead. I mean I suppose it could happen, I can't prove it either way. I think only you can figure out what isn't resolved yet. Good luck to you and I'm sorry for your loss!

That sounds like a natural reaction. You're dreaming about what could have been. I think it's all part of the grieving process. So sorry to hear about your fiance'. Good luck to you and your baby girl.

The night of my husband's funeral I dreamed that I was cleaning the mirror in the bathroom. As I wiped off the spray I saw him standing behind me. I started to turn around and he said no don't turn around, I can see you just fine. He put his arms around me and we just looked at ourselves in the mirror, his dear face so close to mine and we talked, I don' t remember what was said but I felt so happy and then he let me go and turned to go into our bedroom. when I turned around and went to follow him, I woke up. I was crying because the dream was so very real and now awake he was gone again but I treasure that dream because it was so very real. I have not dreamed of him like that again.

Yes they do visit us in our dreams. I think they reason they do this is to let us know that they are O.K. and they are watching over us. Have you ever found coins laying around that you don't remember putting there? These are called "pennies from heaven" You find them and you will know that your loved one who has passed has been there to visit.

This may sound dumb to you , but his soul is not at rest.
He was killed in an accident and a soul can be dazed and confused.
If you know someone that is religious who can send him to the light he will be released.
I am not crazy. We do it all the time.
This is not a joke, I am very serious.
