Tonight while at my moms I was sick of watching disney with my child. So I said you can watch what I use to watch in the eve. when I was kid. She saw no humor in it. Either did I. Am almost embarrassed to say, I looked forward to that show and actually laughed at the jokes when I was kid. Now I see how they all made idiot of themseleves. After two hours of it I said enough. We are done watching. Oh yes and lets not forgot lawrance welk. I was born in the 60's, so these were the shows we were raised on.. My mom said back then you could only get three our four channels and it was free. They did not have cable yet.

I am originally from East Tennessee (Alcoa), and I watched Hee Haw every Saturday night, followed by Dukes of Hazzard. I too laughed, and I adored Minnie Pearl. One Easter, I even attached a tea bag to my Easter hat to look like her.

We used to watch it every week as a kid too, and loved it. I think it is way less amusing now also. But even worse is The Dukes of Hazzard..I cant believe how much I loved that show and how silly it is to watch the reruns now. TV has came so far since the 80s!

omg yes and i loved that show, i still like some of the "vintage" stuff from when i was a kid that is when stuff was alot safer and not so violent, you really didnt have to watch for "bad" stuff on the television. now just about everything that comes on has a ma rating i have to be very careful of what my kids watch. thank GOD for Nick at Night, at least they do show holesome television i know i can trust.

I did....but you met another and spsppstt you was gone.

The 60's were a different time, a simpler time. Look at Lassie, the dog was the smartest one in the show. Lassie probably wrote, directed and produced that show.

Oh, my father always watched it, and as we had only one TV, I watched it too. I hated it.
