No, women are not treated fairly. Regardless if there are men (and women) who seem to think so, this is not the case. There are women out there that don't seem to be aware of what we are fighting for. This is because those who are oppressed (women) believe their oppressors (men). This is because those who are oppressed(women) cannot believe their oppressors(men) are capable of such things.
There are men out there that CANNOT admit to be oppressors and cry out "reverse sexism" when something doesn't go their way.
Just as there are white folks that CANNOT admit to being oppressors and cry out "reverse racism" when something doesn't go their way.

Men would rather sit there and tell us how to live our lives and what THEY think is wrong with us. Because they saw that women got this and they didn't and cry out "unfair!" and will go on a lecture telling us how wrong they think that is without getting to the root of the problem: patriarchy.
Why don't they get to the root of the problem? Cause believe it or not, there are men out there that still don't know what the word patriarchy means and how patriarchy oppresses. Just like how there are white folks that don't believe that white supremecy still exists and how it still oppresses. Why? For fear of progression. Fear of moving forward.
(So, should those oppressed wait for freedom cause there are others who aren't ready? I don't think so.)
Men will even tell us what is wrong with us because they read it in "this" book or saw it on "this" program. Right, cause that makes it true and couldn't possibly be based on sexist thought and sexist ideologies.

There is no such thing as "reverse sexism". It's just a tactic to get away from the real issue: patriarchy and the fear of it being dismantled and changed.

The second women try to push farther then what sociey has set out for us (allows us to do), we get called on it. We get called extremeists, unloving, un-nurturing, insensitive and controlling.
And yet, for all they seem to think they know, they won't understand what it's like to be a woman...they won't understand what it's like to be oppressed because you are a woman. Because they have patriarchy on their side so what do they have to worry about? The second we say we wish to push our imaginations further, they either say "sure, as long as...." Or "you want special treatment!" Where we wish to push ourselves is for men only. They don't have to say it, even though alot of them do, because it's constantly shoved in our faces everyday.

Even if we have "dreams" of a reverse world where women are in power, then we get called EXTREMISTS and that we don't want equality, we wish for power. It's a DREAM, people...a Fantasy. Men's fantasies and dreams of power are accepted EVERYDAY.

Don't you love how our dreams and fantasies get called on when all men want is for us to understand that they don't wish to share their dream and fantasy time with us- because they think they'll be giving up their power and everything it means to be a "man".
It's a vicious cycle.
All I can say is: Men, what you resist will persist.

The glass ceiling still exists....it's just been changed to "pretty" plate glass by those construction workers down the street.

Why do you think only women aren't treated fair? Everyone is not treated fair. I know a very smart guy who tried to get a job, on the interview he did great, he had a good record. And what did they do? they hired a stupid guy who couldn't half the things as the first one.
Where is the justice in that?
You think that if women were in control, it would be different?
I think not, there will always be a battle between man and woman. It's basic human nature, don't think that just because you've had some bad luck that everywhere is the same, I bet that if women were taking over countries and firms, etc. Exactly the same thing would take place. Maybe even worse, ugly guys stay out, exotic dancers come in. So I say hail to democracy.

I don't think women are treated as fairly as they should be, but then again who is treated perfectly? Things are improving, though. Over the years women are receiving more rights. If you don't think you are treated fairly, compare how women are treated where you live, which I'm guessing is the US, to other countries, such as the middle east.

I think women are socialized to be passive agressive or dramaqueen princesses and when a female is assertive, then she is a ***** or a dyke, rather than face the same treatment guys treat each other with, alot of females tend to conform.passively then blow up,this is ineffective but the price you pay as nice girl, others get treated as peers but accept their social stigma as well.life is not fair and boys have their own drama to deal with,we do not have market cornered on unfair treatment

Ok answer this....

If women were treated fairly....would

1) we pay 15.00 for a haircut at supercuts while men pay 10?
2) would we may 10K less a year for the same job as a man.
3) would we pay twice as much for a pack of socks as men...yet they have bigger feet and it takes more material to make those.
4) would people still insist upon you being "mrs. (hubby's last name)

NO!!

and for those men who are going to say men make more because they are smarter...why do they have WOMEN secretaries to keep up their stuff...that they will forget to do!

Treated fairly in what respect? I think women are treated unfairly in some areas, but I think men are treated unfairly in some areas also. What are your specifically referring to?

No, I guess not. And you have my humble apologies. Things seem to be looking up. I mean, look at Condi Rice. On the other hand, there used to be a cigarette slogan of "You've come a long way baby." And the feminist response to that was, "Bullshit, and what do you mean by 'baby'"?

Women think a lot of crazy things. That's why men are in charge.
