YES!!! I would guess that the baby was born with a cleft palette or something similar and the public won't get a view until corrective surgery has fully healed. Think about it...any mom can tell you that when that first baby is born you can't wait to show it off to the entire world and spend every minute you have holding and admiring it. You stare at that little creature for hours on end, mesmerized by how beautiful, smart, etc., your little angel is. The LAST thing you would do is hide her away so no one ever sees her and then spend the majority of your time studying some ridiculous cult .(This was stated by Tom Cruise in an interview - except for the "ridiculous" part) I'm sure Tommyboy couldn't bear the idea that there was something wrong with his child that his precious Scientology couldn't fix. Luckily for Suri, he can afford the best plastic surgeons in the world.

i hope the child just doesn't exist. i mean a baby is a gift, i should be shown off and celebrated. i grew up with a sister who had a brain disease and a name was never found for it. even though she didn't look like the rest of us my parents didn't hide her. so if the child does have a "problem" i think it is horrible for tom and kate to hide he/she. that is why i hope the kid doesn't exist or tom knows something we don't. if the child does exist i am sure he is doing the best he can, any parent would. but hiding he/she is kinda strange i must admit.
