Nothing's as visually striking than beautiful hardwood floors. I love 'em. As for which rooms, I'd say all of them with the possible exception of the bathroom. I can't say I've ever seen a bathroom with wood floors. I guess it could work but I'd rather have tile. It makes cleanup easier.

Hardwood in the living room, den and bedrooms. Linoleum in the kitchen and baths.

the new tongue and grove hardwood floors are easy to put down, very easy to clean, paint , koolaid, clay, markers, and paydough jsut wipe up....and they are cheaper than tile. I never realized how dirty carpets are till, I put in hardwood
