We need to get rid of it. Kids are still promiscuous and devoid of common sense, and sex ed is just a black hole that sucks in taxpayers' money and puts it to no good use.
We really need middle and high schools that are segregated by gender. Although, that wouldn't work for gay people...

it needs to be there. someone needs to tell kids about the birds and the bees, and the STDs, and the ways to protect themselves. it won't give any of them ideas, because they're all full of hormones already, but it might slow down those hormones if they are aware of the risks.
at the very least, if they still go ahead and do it, they will be doing it safely.
and honestly, if they can't get answers from a responsible adult who can answer all their questions without stamering and turning an objective answer into a lecture on morality, they will ask their friends, who most of the time don't know any more than they do.
ignoring the issue or simply telling them they are too young is how you get pregnant 14 year olds.

School is for teaching kids the things they need to succeed in the workplace. Socialization and teaching of things about life is solely the job of parents.
It's wrong to work against the parents. It's actually illegal but the challenges to this have not really been made yet.

I think it is good to give students knowledge on sex education because it is professional and factual, unlike the representation of sex provided by the media. Also, many parents cannot speak about sex to their children, and then children learn from other children-false information.

i think its great because in todays society young kids are being faced with the issue of sex younger and younger. and so if they are tought about sex and everything to go along with it at a younger age we can only hope that they will make the right decisions for themselves when they are older, it is so much better that they be informed than not!!!

children and teenagers want information about sex and they will do whatever it needs to get it. that's why i think sex education in school is a good idea.

It needs to be addressed. Obviously, there are plenty of parents out there not discussing it and leaving the rest of us to pay for their young children becoming parents.

if kids aren't told about it, they would be more curious and they would find out anyway and try it out without knowin the pros and cons
