It's just natural to keep yourself above water. I don't understand how someone can't swim.

Swimming is a learned skill...it does not come naturally.

If you don't move your arms or breath in the right sequence, you will drown, and not be able to keep head above water.

Deep water can be terrifying for people who cannot swim. I can swim, and still find it a little disturbing.

If you hold your breath and body properly you will be boyant, but if you don't you can sink like a rock.

Yeah I know what you mean, it's as natural as skipping or jumping or anything right? Even the dogs know how to swim.. but they say when the situation really calls for it people would know how to swim, but I don't really know maybe they're nervous or something.. beats me.. I think they should learn to keep themselves above water coz it's a survival thing..

I used to not be able to swim. Some ppl just dont know how to tread water or don't know the right breathing techniques for swimming.

its not because they dont know how to swim they are just scared of water

Some people are not coordinated or they never had swimming lessons.
