the word inspiration is a very vague term in itself. Different people will get diferent inspiration from a similiar set of situations. If you see a person in pain or distress , two people might be inspired to act differently. One probably might think of helping the person out , while the other might think of the reasons and circumstances which made that person fall into the pit, and might be inspired not to get into the trap for himself. So, paradoxically, inspiration is nothing but a chain reaction, and depends on the person what sort of inspiration he is extracting from the event.
If i were to be asked this question, and have to submit my answer within a given set of parametres, i would say anything which acts as a catalyst, and facilitates a chain reaction , whereupon i might be able to attain some knowledge or happiness is an inspiration for me.

I had to think about this one for a long time.
I guess I am rather uninspired these days. The biggest inspiration on a daily basis has to be music, whether I am playing my violin or just crankin the tunes in my truck.
But "real" inspiration comes in when I get glimpses of a world that I thought was impossible... when I see those rays of hopes that perhaps my life isn't going the way I think it is, but that there is still hope for me. I doubt that made any sense except for in my head.

My mom, she has had Cancer twice (19 years ago, I was 15 the first time) and despite all of this she still inspires me to be the best I can be. She reared three of her own children plus one of her sisters and two step children. We are all older now and have children of our own. My oldest daughter wrote an essay about her for the fine arts fair and had people in tears because the last line read "You can not let it (cancer) take you, there is so much to live for." She now has 12 grandchildren and the one thing that upsets her the most is that she does not have the time that she would like to spend with all of them.

A crush on somebody, but also meeting people that I really like inspire me. I have this very pleasant energy to get the best out of me to draw this person's attention and to "make the connection".
Love inspires me - between the periods when I rest on my laurels **blushes** - I want to surprise my loved ones and make them happy.
Beauty inspires me (although mainly to run for a camera:)

Everything contains the seeds of inspiration.
But the greatest inspirations, often overwhelming, may always be found in Kindness, Confidence, Compassion, Tolerance, Trust, Ingenuity, Resourcefulness. Creativity and, of course, Beauty and Love.

My inspiration comes from hope. Whenever some says "it can't be done" or "does happily ever after exist" or "isn't the right guy/girl out there", I choose to believe and hope for the best and that, in turn, inspires me to acheive the best and/or find the best

The one thing which inspires me the most is the achievement of people past 60 years of age in their senior citizenry and intelligent people talking about "Intellectual honesty" and admitting that they have not understood certain things - it inspires me to learn more , feeling comfortable that I am not the only one to have not understood certain concepts.

Filmmakers inspire me. When I see them do their work, it inspires me to write a film and direct it in the format of how the inspirerer did.

Other Mom's and the way they manage to "do it all"....discipline their kids, keep a tidy house, always having a home-cooked meal on the table, etc.
When I see the them do it, it inspires me to work at it a little harder.
