Zero population growth means that the population of the world will not get any larger. The organization championing zero population growth (ZPG) changed its name to Population Connection in 2002. The mission statement of the organization is:
Overpopulation threatens the quality of life for people everywhere. Population Connection is the national grassroots population organization that educates young people and advocates progressive action to stabilize world population at a level that can be sustained by Earth's resources.

You get zero population growth when the natality rate equals zero and/or it's the same as the mortality rate. It can happen for a variety of reasons; mainly because the population is getting old, which means, the number of babies born decreases gradually. It's a common phenomenon on developed countries, esp. European.
Hope I've helped you.

---- the maintenance of a population at a constant level by limiting the number of live births to that needed to replace the existing population.
---- balance between birth and death rates: a situation in which the number of new births is no greater than the number of people dying, so that the overall population size remains the same.

the rate of organisms dying equals the rate of organisms born. As long as these two rates are constant, there is no population growth.
