Yes, there is an extended version of ALL the LotR films. And the extended Return of the King shows the Houses of Healing and Aragorn healing Eowyn.
The original cuts of each film (theatrical releases) had to be cut down, mainly because they were already time constraining as it was, but the studio decided to release extended versions to include the extra footage filmed, etc. To include "essential" parts of the story for avid LotR fans.

I have a special extended dvd version of the 3rd film and you do see Aragorn healing Eowyn. Merry is found later on the battlefield by Pippin.

The extended edition features: Aragorn in the Houses of Healing; The relationship of Faramir and Eowyn; The Mouth of Sauron; and the death of Saruman (not quite like the book) among other scenes.
It's also in 6.1 surround sound instead of 5.1.
The extra features are also good.

Yes, there is an extended version. Stryder is no longer going by that name by then, he is Aragon. I don't remember the scene you are talking about at all? Sorry Rose.

I love that part in the Novel. It sucks that they left it out of the movie.
