UTI's like to come back here are some tricks to keeping them away:
1. drink lots of cranberry juice, get the concentrated kind in the organic part of the grocery.this makes acid in the urinary tract so the bacteria die w/o antibiotics.
2. Always pee right after sex.
3. always wipe front to back.
4. drink lots of water.
5. don't have sex until its gone.

I know a female must take all of her antibiotics even if she is better. Then if you still have the infection, go right back to the doc. Don't rely on people on a web site to diagnose you. Think about how long it takes to become a urologist or gynecologist and how you don't know what people on this site know. Your female health is far too important to not go back to the doc every time you get an UTI. I found some web sites for you to read so you'll know how serious your infection can be. Until you get to your specialist, drink 100% cranberry juice without added sugar.

Regular alka seltzer or cranberry juice can help control things. I know that is painful, if it continues get back to the doctor. I noticed that you said you were using antibiotics, did you eat yogurt during the time you were taking them? Antibiotics can kill good bacteria in your vagina and cause yeast infections. Yogurt can keep that from happening. I wonder if you have a yeast infection. This can also be painful. To be safe, I would get checked out. If a yeast infection gets out of control, it is pretty miserable. I hope you feel better!

I feel the following truly natural Shaklee supplements will be very helpful in preventing UTIs.
At a minimum: Optiflora (replaces "friendly" bacteria which antibiotics destroy) and Garlic Complex (natural antibiotic)
Other supplements that would also be helpful are:
Vita-C, Zinc and Nutriferon (builds & strengthens immune system)
B-Complex (increases absorption)
For more info or questions, feel free to contact me.
Best Wishes

Make sure you complete all of your antibiotic, even if you feel better. Take it exactly as direction for as long as directed.
Drink lots and lots of water to flush. Some peple swear by cranberry juice, I suppose that is up to you to try, Avoid hot bubble baths. Wear cottom panties. Empty your bladder every hour.
If you see signs, I would call right away,

Maybe your round of antibiotics didn't get rid of the infection. You may have to take another round. Also drink plenty of water and drink a glass of cranberry juice every day.

sometimes it takes the antibiotic longer to work, its still working for you but if it doesn't clear up a week after the last dose I'd seek medical attention. Also you need to flush your kidneys with any kind of cranberry juice, it has natural healing properties in it that work great on your kidneys and bladder. ways to help keep from getting it
1. wipe front to back never vice versa 2. after sex,if your active, urinate afterwards and clean up afterwards 3. if you keep getting them and you wear thongs...stop wearing them they tend to cause bacteria from your rectum to enter the urethra. I hope this was helpful also stay away from dark decaffeinated pops it irritates the problem water water water flush those kidneys it washes away the bacteria

You can get it from a number of things, such as poor urine flow or lack of do to not drinking enough water or jucies. You can also get it from lack of sex (no Joke) usually after a month or so of not having it and you partner may not have been clean as far a sweat and such. (always good to take showers first) Just drink more HEALTHY fluids should do the trick even Ice Tea has anti toxins in it / Signed ER personel
