Can anyone tell me what years did this really happen in? what years did this girl live?
- I just watched this movie and I'm trying not to think about it because I won't sleep for days - but i just want to know the year!

It was based on a true story....that doesn't mean the events actually took place like they show in the movie though. It's like when a movie is based on a book....doesn't mean the movie will be anything like the book.
But from imbd.com: Based on the true story of Anneliese Michel, a young German woman who suffered the same fate as the fictional Emily Rose in the 1970s.

It's a remake of the Exorcist-that was in the 70's- 80's so- sometime way before that.

Its supposed to be based on a real story but I wouldn't fully trust Hollywood to tell it like it is.
