Pfft, 99.9% of people that say they are hackers are, in fact, not. Most of them are kids with nothing better to do than give some naive computard a scare. A good hacker has 2 trademarks: Speed and stealth. They will get what they want and you won't even know it, and in the off chance that you do realize what is going on, it's already happened. If you use common sense and have basic computer protection skills, you'll keep 95% of hackers at bay, of the remaining 5%, 4% aren't capable of doing severe harm, and the other 1%...well, you're ****** if it's one of them. But in this case, I can almost guarantee that it's just some kid trying to get info out of you that he could easily get if he were indeed a hacker (at least a competent one).

A...any good hacker... wouldn't want you to know they are a hacker...putting up your defense like that is the last thing any attacker wants to do. Probably someone who just learned how to turn on a computer and thinks they can controll the government now. B...if you think they are a hacker....why talk to them...do you know them? C... if you computer acts funny..and starts to talk to you and make you coffee.... ask for 1 lump..not 2.

If he's talking to you, he may actually want to get to know you because he
likes you as a person - not as a target for his latest computer virus.
Don't accept any e-mail with attachments, don't run any programs he
tells you do and otherwise enjoy.
"hacker" is an overused term - it really doesn't tell you much of what he
does or wants out of life.

Relax, they all talk big, but those who brag about it usually can't do anything. stop talking to him, put him on ignore and make sure your firewall is going. Thats about it. I've had them threaten me a lot of times, but nothing has ever happened.
Hackers don't want to be found out. They know they can get in trouble for it, so they don't go around saying "Hey, I'm a hacker"...its going to be alright.

Ask him to prove he's a hacker by hacking into your computer. Otherwise, he is a liar, and a loser.

yes!! if you're talking to a hacker, all he needs is your name and email adress. don't socialize with hackers, beccause the more they talk to you, the more info about yourself they can scoop out...even who your friends are.
