The wolf is kinda scary and someone dies, so watch out for that. i thought it was kind of condescending and M. Night Shamylan should stay behind the camera and not assume such a critical role. The movie progression reminded me a lot of the Matrix trilogy.
What should I do?
You know what you must do.
Who do I need to find?
You will find them.
Ugh...
I'd wait for cable.

I was very dissappointed in the movie. The story was if it was made up as the camera was rolling, with no real meat to it, or if there was, I must have missed out on the main course somewhere. Perhaps I am way off, but as an American and a Christian, I saw the movie has enteraining the idea of a "prophetess" preparing the way for a man of obvious Middle Eastern descent to "spread his word" whatever "that word is" sometime in the future. He was to be a great leader of our nation. Excuse me, but do I see an underlying message here???? I am a big fan of Paul Giamatti after seeing the movie, "Sideways". He is a very funny man, and as in this movie, I couldn't take him seriously as his role might have required. I found myself laughing at inappropriate times. Bottom line - I wish I had saved the few bucks that I had spent. I think kids will become restless and bored and probably prefer to be outside in the water, themselves, rather than stuck in a theatre chair for 2 hours.

I saw it and I didn't really like it that much. I don't think it was meant to be funny but it was. The 11-year-old should be pretty good to see it, the scrunts might be a little scary for him/her to see, or maybe my friend who was scared of them is just a really big wimp (more likely the case, and he's 21. it's a little sad). They freaked me out a little bit, but not enough to scare me.

I thought it was AWESOME.
There's like two parts that are scary, for a total of like 3 minutes. The rest is pure Shyamalan philosophy.

If you liked M. Night Shyamalan's (sp) other movies, you'll probably like this one, you either like them or you don't, i thought it was good, he has different ideas...his work is unique...
