I get my period 1-2 a year at most, and I know I have to see a doctor about it, which I'm going to go to Planned Parenthood soon, but I had one miscarriage before with my periods like this...am I still ovulating even though I don't get them regularly?

you can't ovulate without a period, and if you did get pregnant you would of had to ovulate one of those times you came on your period. that's not good your only having 1-2 cycles a year? something is wrong believe me i know! i was the same way and found out i had pcos, so dr. started me on metformin pills and clomid to help induce ovulation and it help! but when you don't have periods your body can't cleanse it's self each month and sometimes that can cause other problems. so that's good your seeing a dr. soon good luck

No one can answer this for you except for a doctor.

you probably need some tests done, getting a period that seldom isn't good for your body.

Do a search on wedmd.com and see what advise a doc gives you, not the people who want points on this silly thing!

best of luck!

No, I do not ovulate without a period. but you do need to get something to regulate your period.

If you never get a period...then, no, you are probably not ovulating.

If it's that your periods are very irregular...then you are ovulating as irregularly as your periods are.
