Fischer or Kasparov are the ones to put money on in any chess game and the red spot was seen by Galileo when he took that new fangled telescope thingy and looked at Jupiter, so it's been there for quite awhile. And, no, Galileo did NOT invent the telescope, he was just the first to use it to look up and make significant discoveries.
