because many white cultures had/have such an arrogance to them. they feel that others must be conquered and made subject to them. its done differently now a days.now its big business/capitalism that has made subjects of the working people/servants.

umm, you're stereotyping. I'm white and I never worry about racial heirarchy.
By the way, it wasn't because anyone was white that they invented eugenics, it's because they were Darwinists and believed that blacks were inferior to whites.
All eugenics and the like have their root in Darwinian thinking (the strong survive, the weak will die out, etc.).
They actually (the Darwinists) put a black man in a cage with an orangutan in the Bronx zoo decades ago, they thought he was an "ape-man" (he also happened to be a pygmy).
After a few months, they let him out, but the Darwinist "scientist" who was responsible for bringing him to the US from Africa felt after that that the episode in the zoo messed his life up for good. I agree.
Darwinism was Hitler's central point, he believed that whites were more highly evolved. So did Darwin, by the way. If you look at the full title of his "Origin of the Species", you'll see it includes something like, "the preservation of the favored races" for in the struggle for survival (something like that, but he has the words "favored races" in it, and fully believed blacks were subhuman, and/or certainly "sub-white").
He also believed that women couldn't reach the same intellectual levels and achievements that men could.
Marx [whose thinking and writing led to the deaths of many tens of millions and the enslavement of hundreds of millions more] was so enamored of Darwin and his theory that he offered to dedicate his book The Communist Manifesto to Darwin (and include it in the forward of the book, etc.), but Darwin declined the offer, feeling it would cause his family great distress.
for more information and documentation, go to the following site:

and do a search in their search engine for "eugenics"
It will give you more than enough to read about and to think about.

Im white, and I have never worried that I might "pollute" the race. The "Most white people" who started the one drop rule and all that are not a majority, they just happened to have a level of power and they abused it in a racist manner. There are other people in power right now in various countries who are not white, but reeking havoc and destroying people because of their race.
It's not all "white man's" doing.
And Im tired of seeing questions that aren't actually questions, but statements about other races and cultures, that really is just an opportunity for the "questioner" to vent some misdirected anger. Next time try a blog and leave all the other people alone.

I know very few whites in the Northwestern states who are concerned about "polluting the gene pool." There are some hold-outs, but these are the ones no longer capable of having babies. As far as I'm concerned, love sees no color.

I'm sorry. I don't fully understand the intent of your question. I don't think all Whites are worried about racial hierarchy. There are some total idiots out there who actually believe there is any such thing as "racial purity." In my experience, most of them are pretty backwards, poor, and poorly educated, and perhaps that idea is all they have to hold on to. There are also just some people, who perhaps as misdirected guilt for the way Blacks have been treated, or perhaps for fear of the different or the unknown, do not approve of the mixing of races.
As for worrying "about their genes being polluted", I'm not sure who you mean by "they". Do you mean Whites or Blacks? Grammatically, the reference is a bit ambiguous. That's why I ask. As for the first, I don't personally know anyone who feels that way, but as I explained above, I know their are idiots like that who exist. Interestingly, in Australia, when there was a mixed child, it was removed from its Aboriginal family so that it could be further mixed until its descendents could pass for White. There is an interesting book about one family's experience with this practice called Rabbit Proof Fence. It was also made into a movie. Apparently, the Australian government didn't want a "third" class of people.
Also, I am a White American woman married to a Black African man. No one cares that we are a mixed couple until we go to the US. No White people made comments when we were there, though I'm sure many thought them and said them under their breaths or behind our backs, but it was Black women who made comments openly. Not to our faces, but loud enough for us to hear. Fortunately, my husband is not a native English speaker and so he tuned those sorts of things out, or I'm afraid he would have confronted those women, and we would have had real trouble.
I don't believe there are any such things as different races on a scientific level, and science supports me on this. However, we have to deal with the reality of public perception. Anyone who looks like a particular "race" will be identified with that race. That is why I worrry about my child who will be Black, but will have a White mother and therefore will identify most with Whites. While I think that as long as we live abroad, our child/children will not be expected to fit into one niche or the other, I'm afraid that if we live in the US, White children will not fully accept our child because he/she won't look White, and Black children won't accept our child because he/she won't "act" Black. As a teacher in public schools in the US, I saw this happen quite frequently, and not only to Black children who had White parents, but to Black children who were perceived to act like "Whites".

Was it Bruce Willis telling off Morgan Freeman that the latter was discriminating the former because the latter was always anticipating discrimination from the former? What was that movie?

Which whites are you talking about? I'm not so sure that most of my fellow whities are even the slightest bit concerned about this kind of thing.

Actually others do think like that, it depends on the person not the race. All walks of life are like that, I think it is just instinct, I mean, we are all animals. So do not stereotype, it's not cool.
