I know this is a general question, but I'm REALLY stuck between the two. Which degree is best to get if I'm not exactly sure what I want to do later on?

I've heard that English is more limited than Psych, in terms of job opportunities.

Any insight?

Okay, I am an English major, so I may be a little bias in this opinion, but I would definitely choose English. More often than not, college students do not go into jobs that they majored in. I have seen it time and time again. Businesses just want a degree, it doesn't matter in what, unless you're an engineer or doctor or something. I don't plan on being a teacher, but I think studying English makes a person more well rounded.

I don't mean to sound rude, but you should get at least a minor in business or something to do with computers. Or, go for a teaching certificate.
If you can only do one of the 2, go with Psychology. English is really limited unless you want to be an English teacher.

english is a more respectable major. it may be more difficult to get a job as an english major, but whatever job you get will be better in general.

psychology is seen as a major for lazy people who want to get through college easily...aka idiots....the classes are easy and you dont do alot of work. you'll probably get a job more easily with a degree in psych but it will be a crappy job.

id say definitely go with the english.

neither ....i know a psychology major who works as a cashier at the Walgreens. I hope that helps. Why would anyone even contemplate about going for such majors ? Don't you already know enough english! There are so many other exciting majors that have tremendous job opportunities.

For you I would say, psychology, Your on Yahoo answers, probably helping people out with there mental health issues. That's the key in my opinion. You can really help someone out and even save there life with psychology, when was the last time someone did that with English.

Psycology is very versitale!!
just think of all the areas in wich you could use a degree in psycology; from teaching - to marketing. My plan is to get a degree in psycology then be a qualitative marketer.

In my opinion - neither

Think about what types of jobs you want, and what career progression is available in those jobs. Something more applied may be more useful
