Well I do care but not if I don't like the person. If I respect someone then I would like them to respect me also, that's it.

I don't believe a person is lying if they say they don't. For a long time I truly did not care what people thought of me. As I've aged, though, it has become something of a concern because people can and do impact my livelihood when they back stab to get me fired or passed over for a promotion simply because they don't like me. I'm not part of the cliques that form in the workplace and that seems to make me fair game for all the childish games and office politics. Initially, I thought it was enough to just show up on time, do a good job and stay out of people's way. That's not enough. So, I care only to the extent that I still don't want to be part of the game, but I don't want to be so disconnected that I have no protection from the vultures. Outside the workplace, I truly don't care. I'm not in the world to live up to any one else's expectations and they are not in the world to live up to mine. I'm okay with that.

I don't! Life is to short to worry about things like that. I use to. But I guess as you get older there just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day to think about that. I don't care what anyone thinks of me. I know I am a good person. A loving and faithful wife. And I have a wonderful family. I talk to God daily and I never intentionally hurt anyone. I'm a happy and contented person.

Actually, all people do care to some extent what people thinks about them. That is healthy but when you become a people pleaser and become someone whom you're really not, then you seriously have a problem.

Right ! I'm going to "ring my wrists" worrying about what someone with a walnut sized brain, thinks of me, very important in my life, I spend hours up at night ! NOT !

I don't lie...and I don't care what people think of me...why waste what little time we have been given on caring about something that could take away our joy at being alive since it's impossible to please everyone at the same time?

I do not I did in High school now I am just me and then when I think about it was just stupid trying to be cool. I like myself and do not plan on ever trying to impress anybody.
