If you don't exercise, then you gain weight. All those calories have nowhere to go and turn into fat.
Just because one eats fast food or ice cream doesn't mean that they are going to gain weight. If they exercise BAM! They don't gain weight. So the answer to your question is no.

no because even if there were no fast food and ice cream there would still be many other fating foods that would make us fat.
