A best friend is someone you trust, respect and will always listen to you and not judge you but step in and tell you when you are doing something that you shouldn't, they are honest, loyal and there for you in your darkest hour and happiest moment, they are the one treasure you should never give up and let go, they are someone you feel comfortable with and can say anything, tell anything, and do anything with!

A best friend must first accept you for what you are and not try to change you. Love you, respect you, care for you, help you when you are in trouble, be happy for you when you are happy and not feel envious of you, doesn't backstab you, and stay by your side in good times and bad times. Be honest with you and are sincerely concern about you and keep in constant touch with you. Also, shares everything with you.

my sole qualification is:
Can I call them at 2 A.M. for help AND they fall out of bed and come over.
You will be surprised how quickly the "freind" herd thins when you apply this qualifier.
