Sometimes the prenatal vitamins(iron) make you constipated, sometimes it is because you aren't moving around as much, or drinking enough water. Try to eat a balanced diet and walk daily.Other than that I would advise you to ask the dr.

Yes lots of women get constipated while pregnant .It usualy happens during first or last three months of the pregnancy.
Constipation is thought to happen because the hormone progesterone slows the movement or motolity of the gut.
During late pregnancy constipation also be attributed to direct pressure on the intestines from the growing baby. This can also slow down the passage of food through the bowel.

It's IMPOSSIBLE for her not ot have a bowel movement at all. Maybe she meant that she was constipated while pregnant, which is very common. Drinking plenty of water and eating foods high in fiber helps relieve constipation. Also some prenatal vitamins contain stool softeners to help prevent constipation.

Don't be ashamed or embarrassed, I miss my regular poops lol. I started taking Colace (actually the Wal-mart stool softener equivalent, which was 3 bucks and the Colace was 20). I took it every other day for a while, but recently I moved it up to daily. It's likely due to the iron in your prenatal vitamin. You should ask your doctor, then maybe give it a try since eating fiber doesn't seem to be helping you. You aren't alone though. Good luck, I'm also having a boy :)

If she did not have a bowel movement at all she would have died, because she would have had impacted bowels and it would have caused Toxic Shock, killing her. She is definately full of something.

I asked my Dr. the same thing. Yes it is common in almost all pregnancy. A lot of women will have hemroids either before they give birth or right after.

It is very normal...constipation during that time happens often. Ask your doctor about what you can use to help because you do not have to suffer. It will not how ever happen during the entire time so relax. I hope this helps. Naturaly you can drink some juice that always helped me.
