We live in messed up society where we are taught to believe such blatently wrong things such as this. It's like saying grass is blue. It sounds like a noble thing to say in text but in the real world, poor people suffer the most while the rich live happily. Only those who are too rich for thier own good suffer because they have no purpose in life. But for the most part, if you are poor it's very hard to find happiness in today's society.

Perhaps this quote would of worked in another time. But these days, you need money for everything. If you don't have money, you can't go anywhere or achieve anything. You cannot even get help if you are sick. You can't have fun. You just can't do anything. Without money, people are just bums. I guess that's happiness?

No, that's not right. I know that nobody can be happy being a bum. I myself would be miserable if I lived like that. In fact, people in third world countries who are suffering from all kinds of diseases arn't happy. I know that happiness is something you have to find yourself but if you don't have money how can you find it. The whole notion of money not being important is such a lie. In some way or form, money does help you find happiness. It keeps you alive and helps you buiy the things you need to stay healthy and more importantly, happy.

That comment was intended for those who had a little more than enough to get by, like the man in scripture who was going to tear down his barn and build a bigger one is the one that this applies to.

I myself am not a rich person. In fact, I survive on a medical disability cheque that just barely pays my monthly bills. However, I am very happy and would never complain about my life. I think if I had more money, I may become a snob or an elitist and think I am better then everyone else. That would be terrible because then eventually no one would like me.

If money bought happiness, why are so many rich people taking drugs, abusing alcohol and seeing therapists? The things you are talking about are things of convenience, but money, itself, does not buy happiness. In fact, in one aspect, it is probably harder because one never knows if a person is around them because they enjoy their company or using them for financial gain. Besides, studies show that people's spending increases as their income increases, so rich people still have the same level of debt and worries.

Money is a stresser. If you don't have it, you worry about getting it. If you do have it, you worry about keeping it. But happiness is an inside job. I've had money and been miserable and not had money and been very happy. I would however like to experience happiness and money at the same time.

Or that's 0.5 a brilliant gesture, like he tried to do something particular to look cool yet became afraid to get too loopy. once you are going to do it, then do it each and each of how! additionally, while that's a brilliant promposal in front of a team of human beings, I think of it may well be a number of stress to declare confident, that's unfair. maximum critically, it relies upon on the guy your asking's character. would they certainly must be asked the way which you're questioning of? If no longer, then do no longer do it - you're only questioning approximately your self(attempting to instruct off to different human beings). i in my view would hate a public promposal, yet a private one far off from different human beings must be extreme high quality. do no longer circulate over the coolest if that individual does not like over the coolest.

I think people who say this have never had a need for money. Ask people in the unemployment line this same question.

If having money makes you so happy, why do you want more and more and still not be satisfied? True happiness comes only from God.
