I don't quite understand. Did you unplug ram after or before sound went away?

If or if not why did you unplug ram? The more info the better. Did you forget or accidentally make any wires loose inside the tower? Could it be something simple like mute or a setting is on low. I know people hate it when they get advice like is it just on mute but you aways got to ask.

If none of the above is the case then I could look into it for you but I would need to know a few more things. Any info would help. Good luck.

You unplugged the RAM !? Now when you put it back did you look at the direction of the RAM. Sometimes you might have put it in the reverse. Just check that the wedge matches the position of the RAM slot.
The system boots up and looks for the RAM. After the process is complete you get a beep sound,. THen only you will get the system up properly.
Go through the process again. CHeck all the cables.
All the Best

It is unlikely that the RAM has anything to do with the sound issue. If your PC still works, the RAM is ok.
