You have that backwards...some countries hate us because we allow freedom and makes their own population wanting the same.

Not all Americans do.

Please don't stereotype. What our government does, and what we do are two completely different things. Our country's abilities are determined by the controlling power. Unfortunately, they often do things the rest of the world doesn't like. If America was landlocked and surrounded by other countries, it wouldn't be like this. Our government has a huge ego. We're also developing a WWII german-like nationalist feeling. It's too bad really. I love other countries, I really do. It's great. So many different cultures and ideals.

*shrug* hate our government. A lot of us already do too.

It depends on who you talk to. That's like assuming all Muslims support the extremists who go around blowing themselves up and killing all people, or that all people from Asia = Chinese (a lot yes, but not everyone). Yes, silly examples, but just trying to make my point.

Some people will say that it's because other countries are stupid and don't like freedom and what not. They will say that it's their own people's fault for being so stupid, ignorant, etc. And if you try to give them reasons, they will accuse you of being stupid and probably refuse to listen to you, even if your points are valid (however, the same could be said of other people and countries as well, so don't think I'm bashing someone in particular).

Others will try to be more forgiving, and try to understand why that country isn't as good as America in terms of human rights (believe me, there are some pretty bad ones out there, the stuff that the soldiers in Iraq were doing in the prison is tame compared to people getting shocked, beaten, starved, etc that you don't hear about much in the news). They will try to look at the reasons, and try to understand why the country's leaders are acting the way they are.

I myself try to see why other countries don't like the US. I know we're far from perfect, but I enjoy the freedoms I get in the US, the ability to express my thoughts and feelings without risking going to jail (I heard any Chinese living in China who speak bad of the Chinese government gets thrown in jail, how's that for freedom of speech huh?)

Again, this is kind of a general purpose answer. You could apply this to just about any other country if you were to replace it with the "americans" in your question.

We don't at all.

America gives more money in financial aid to foreign countries than any other country. And you know what? We want to (well, for the most part anyways.)

It's the ungracious, stab us in the back mantra of many other countries that starts to piss us off after a while.

We're good people. We pride ourselves on justice, peace, and freedom. We don't hate other countries. They hate us.

That's stereotyping, not all Americans hate other countries, I'm American and I love Europe and South America and Asia and Australia, all those wonderful continents and countries. Sure we have our dissagreements but who's gonna remember them in 1,000 years but school kids reading in a text book? = ) I ♥ America and I ♥ the world!

That's sterotyping, however, your right some Americans like to sit on their high-horse riding on a cloud of judgement about other countries mistakes when we make way more ourselves. I criticize the US way more than any other country. The only countries I don't like are ones that commit genocide, ie. Darfur, or have totalitarian governments ie. China.
