I thought I heard on BBTN that he can hit 104 on the radar gun. I can not recall a pitcher ever bringin it that hard.

He (Zumaya) is also a fan favorite for his intense, aggressive attitude on the mound and his high-90's fastball which frequently tops out at 100+ MPH.
The fastest observed speed (although not official) was a pitch from Mark Wohlers during spring training in 1995, which allegedly clocked in 103 MPH. On July 20, 2006 in a game against the Chicago White Sox, Zumaya threw a fastball that speedguns recorded at 104 MPH, setting a new record for fastest recorded pitch.

He has been clocked at 104 once. Normally 100-102.
I love his intenseness on the mound.
He's getting better at locating that fastball, too---so becareful.
I love it when he comes in after Verlander!
The opposing players dont stand a chance!

he'll hit 102 every once in a while. but 99 to 100 during the course of the game. it's amazing

The latest I've seen he hit 103, which is fastest in the majors this year. Rob nenn hit 105(major leaguge best)

I've always watched the clock speed on TV when he is pitching. The highest I've seen is 102mph, but he doesn't always rely on speed. I've seen him get guys out on 78mph change ups when the batter just knows he's going to throw a fast ball.

I am not sure it is around 101 102 i thought but it culd b that high all i know is he has the best stuff in all of baseball

low hundreds. he's supposed to be a starter. but their overloaded with starters.
