The catch phrase was, "Actors, Act!" - when the host said this phrase, they would begin to act out their phrase. There were several famous comedians, male and female who would act out these phrases...it really was a cool show, but I just can't recall the name. Sometimes, they would act in teams... please help!!!

There was Whose Line Is It Anyway?. The original UK version was hosted by Clive Anderson. The US version was hosted by Drew Carey. There were two teams of three and each team improvised various games, including acting out various phrases. Various actors and comedians appeaed on the show including Paul Merton, Stephen Frost, Colin Mochery, Ryan Stiles, Josie Lawrence and the guy who played Dougal the dumb priest in 'Father Ted'.
The other show was the old Give Us a Clue (hosted by Michael Aspel and then Michael Parkinson) in which a member of a team had to act out a phrase, book or film title, without talking. The other two members of their team had to try and guess the answer within two minutes. It was a TV version of Charades, basically.

I think the show you're trying to recall was "GooseBumps". Based on the written books by R. L. Stine. for the kids series. I read about 55+ of those books, sometimes i would read 1 book in 1 day. :)
