Eventually, your spit will hit something. If not, it will orbit around the sun, depending on where you're spitting from, of course. No such thing as zero gravity in our solar system. What you are referring to is "free fall."

Well in space it will travel till it dosen't hit anything solid.butyou know that the space craft [capable to man]there will be atmosphere or air to breath.if I will spit it will spread because of the ericition of air and hit the solid if i spit in force.But if i din't use froce it will hang out there as a bubble.

Your spit will travel in a straight line unless it hits something. It will eventually slow down due to air friction, (you did not say it was in a vaccuum). When you spit, you will start to move very slowly backwards as well.

if you are spittin from a spaceship in orbit round earth then the spit will also start orbittin the earth dude...will start losin height and eventually fall to earth.

i'd assume that it would just travel forward until it hit something.

how about this one.... you get your car to travel at the speed of light... and you turn the headlights on. does anything happen??
